Who Am I?

My name is Jimmy Huynh, born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I come from a Vietnamese background, with both my parents born in Vietnam. I am a middle child and have two brothers. I currently attend Chaminade College School as a grade 10 STEM student. My interests include photography, filming and editing videos, piano, and PC gaming.

I attended Blessed Margherita Of Citta Di Castello Catholic School, and currently attend Chaminade College School as a Grade 11 STEM student. Graduating elementary school, I was awarded with Blessed Margherita’s perfect attendance award, music award, and academic excellence award. I like to learn new things in all subjects, but my favourite subject is mathematics. For the future, I am currently interested in computer science.

I am a pianist currently attending the Ontario Academy of Music. I am a RCM 5 student, and I am taught by Anderson Chau. Playing the piano is a way I express my emotions, there is a song for every feeling. Practice can get frustrating sometimes, but success in learning a difficult piece, makes the struggle worth it. I have started to grow an interest in photography, and own a Nikon D5300, with a Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G and Nikon 35mm f/1.8. I have always been fascinated by the pictures one can take of an ordinary thing, and photography has taught me to look at everything from different angles. This year, I joined the Film Club at Chaminade College School. We all consume video, and I wanted to see how it is to create video. I now have a greater appreciation for the movie makers, because of the time and effort it takes to make something as small as a 2min. commercial. As I develop this interest of mine, the skills learned from Film Club can be applied to projects I am assigned. I casually play PC games, such as League of Legends and Overwatch during my free time.
